Francisco Grimaldi is an Italian director born in 1991, with over a decade of experience in the audiovisual field. Specializing in creating documentary works in extreme environments, Francisco has managed to combine his passion for cinema with an active and enterprising humanitarian commitment.

Since 2017, he has personally led annual humanitarian expeditions to Kenya and Nepal as the President and Founder of the non-profit organization ‘InYourShoes,’ established to support disadvantaged sports communities. Through his work as a director, he has depicted the extraordinary lives of athletes from challenging economic backgrounds. These testimonies have been transformed into the documentary “The Home of Champions.”

Additionally, he serves as the lead filmmaker of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, one of the most important and oldest Kenyan foundations dedicated to wildlife conservation. He documents rescue operations of endangered species such as elephants and rhinoceroses, including the fight against poaching and the preservation of African natural habitats. Through this foundation, he collaborates with renowned broadcasters such as ITV, Apple TV, Netflix, and BBC.
